All the action and heart-stopping excitement of the Rockley Rodeo returns this Saturday, October 27.

“You could say it is dangerous, but the cowboys love it and love the crowd cheering them on. You’ll see cowboys thrown in the air and bullfighters putting their lives on the line to get the cowboys away from the beast.”
Fearless competitors will saddle up in Rockley after travelling from all parts of the east coast. Riders will be hanging tight to some champion, 1000kg raging bovines, supplied by Matt Besant.

Running interference and protecting the riders will be bullfighters Wade Nicoll and Josh Burkes.
Crowds will be entertained by a feature saddle bronc, feature bull ride, saddle bronc, bareback, bull ride, barrel race and steer ride.
On the day there will also be a Miss Rockley Rodeo Competition with different age sections. The younger crowd members can enter the Miss Rockley, Miss Teen, Miss Tiny Tot or Master Tiny Tot competitions.
There’ll be plenty of food, market stalls and rides for kids, but remember to bring chairs, hats and sunscreen.
Gates open at 8am and the main event kicks off at 1pm. Macquarie Lions Club will man the gates and a donation will be made to them from the rodeo.
Entry: Adult $15, child/pensioners $10, children under 5 free entry, family ticket $35, two adults and two kids.
