Artstate Bathurst, a celebration of excellence in regional arts and the possibilities for arts and cultural development, will hold its opening ceremony from 7pm in Kings Parade, featuring the Bathurst Wiradyuri Elders, music, dancing and more. The Bathurst Vignerons and a Lions Club sausage sizzle starting at 5pm will keep everyone fed and watered.

Bathurst Arts Trail, which offers free entry to artists’ studios on the first full weekend of each month, will be held from 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Check www.bathurstartstrail.com or the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre for more details and to find out which studios are open. Arts Trail booklets are available at the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre and in the art gallery/library foyer.
Macquarie Riverside Market will be held at Berry Park, on Lions Club Drive, from 8am to 1pm. There will be stalls with craft, gifts, books, plants and treats, plus music, coffee and a barbecue.
