Owner of the Bathurst Aqua Park, Michael Hickey, said that everything was ready to cater to customers on Saturday from 10am.
With the temperature set to rise to 29 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday, the conditions will be perfect for swimming.
“I think it will be busy. I’ve got some birthday parties booked in, so it will be fun,” Mr Hickey said.
A free session was provided to members of the community on Friday who wanted to trial the Park ahead of its official opening.
Mr Hickey said the feedback was great and indicated a good weekend was ahead.
“Everyone has had a ball, they just love it. Nothing bad at all,” he said.
Several councillors also made an appearance, some of them heading out into the water for a dip.
Mayor Graeme Hanger didn’t get his feet wet, but he said everyone looked to be having a lot of fun and he was sure paying customers would enjoy it just as much.
“Fantastic facility for the local area,” he said. “The kids will have an absolute ball.”
Councillor Jess Jennings brought his daughter, Lola, along for the afternoon and he only had good things to say about the park.

“It was definitely great fun,” Cr Jennings said.
“Summer is here and we needed to come out and test this for the community to verify the owners’ claims that it is tonnes of fun, and I as a councillor can attest to that.”
He said the quality of the equipment, which he tested out with both his daughter and deputy mayor Bobby Bourke, was extremely good.
“The equipment is very well configured. I am comfortable taking my five-year-old daughter out there and going out there with my teenage son,” Cr Jennings said.
There were some concerns about the quality of the water on Friday, as Bathurst Regional Council had issued an amber level alert for blue green algae following a week of warm weather.
Cr Jennings said the water was absolutely safe for recreational use and people had no cause for concern.
“I couldn’t see any algae while I was out there today, which is good,” he said.
After this weekend, the park will be open from Thursday to Sunday every week, between 10am and 6pm.
Operations will extend to seven days a week during school holidays that fall between now and the end of March, when the park closes.
