November 10-11 Remembrance Weekend – a weekend of activities and displays over the two days. Organised by the Bathurst RSL Sub Branch and the Bathurst District Historical Society it will mark the Centenary of World War One. There will be plenty to see and do over the weekend.
Floor Talk with Michelle Collocott at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery at 11am. Join Michelle Collocott, Steven Miller and Janet Clayton as they discuss the development of the 'Three Ponds Series'. A deep respect for nature underpins Michelle Collocott's practice. Her decade-long 'Three Ponds' project has been inspired by six acres of land on the outskirts of Oberon.
Join us at the Bathurst Library from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, November 10 to celebrate International Games Week! We will have board games, card games and so much more for you to come and enjoy. Game enthusiasts will be there on the day to help you find your new favourite game.
On Saturday there will be the Services Band playing in Machattie Park from 10am to 3pm and Freedom Entry to City 1/19 Battalion ceremony at 11.30am on the corner of William and Russell Streets. There will be a Family Picnic in Kings Parade from 12noon with bands, singing, dancing and children’s games. Don’t forget the Remembrance Day Commemoration with its 5,000 poppies at 10.15am on Sunday. The Family History Group will be conducting a tour of veterans’ graves at 3pm.
