David ‘big match’ Clews lived up to his reputation with a brilliant 67 nett to win Saturday’s B grade Monthly Medal and also the ‘cock of the course’ for November. Trevor Reece (68) and Manuel Pro (69) rounded out the minors while Robert Pardey was the scratch champion on 83. John Fagan was back in the limelight with a fine 68 nett to win A grade from Phil Campbell (70) and Bill Casey (71), Darren ‘Gazelle’ Smith was the scratch victor with 74 off the stick.

Gary Tildesley and Grant Barker had a titanic struggle for the C grade crown after both players had 68 nett, in the end, the stylish Tildesley was the winner on a count-back. Kevin Arrow (70) snuck in for third and the scratch went to Terry Lewis with 91.
It was great to see Gil Luck back atop, a solid 41 points gave him Thursday’s A grade top gong by a shot over Wayne Boserio, John Perfect was a further shot back in third and the scratch has gone the way of Darryn Bruce on 33.
Greg Campbell reignited the golfing fire to return 42 points and the B grade win, hot on his heels was the duo of Bob Dillon and Tony Hitchcock who both had 41 points, the scratch is in the safe hands of Chris Warry with 23 points.
Jody Parker and Ron Hitchen were the premiere 2BBB combination as they defeated Terry Chifley and Bill Dickie on a count-back after both pairs had 49 points. Darryn Bruce and Darrell Bourke enjoyed the course on their way to 36 points and the scratch win. Lousea Johnson was all class on Sunday with 38 points to hold off Ben Hamer (37) and Linda Edwards (35).
