HE won the inaugural Bathurst 6 Hour and has been on the grid ever since, but there is no guarantee that Nathan Morcom will tackle the endurance race at Mount Panorama next year.

Since the Bathurst 6 Hour was added to the program at Mount Panorama, Morcom and co-driver Chaz Mostert have been men to watch.
They steered a BMW 335i to victory in 2016 before switching to Ford Focus RS LZ. That car placed second on debut while this year Morcom and Mostert had to settle for 16th as they battled tyre issues.
But when the preliminary entry list for the 2019 edition of the Bathurst 6 Hour was released, Morcom and Mostert’s names were missing.
When Morcom arrived at Mount Panorama last week for the Challenge Bathurst Supersprint he revealed why – the Ford Focus is for sale.

“We’ve not entered in it, we’re seeing how this goes [at Challenge Bathurst] and if it goes alright and we haven’t sold it, then we’ll probably end up entering and doing it,” Morcom said.
“But it’s all TBA at the moment – it is for sale.
“It’s definitely a good buy especially as they’ve changed the classes. This car is technically an A2 now, it’s not an A1 against the BMWs or Lotus’ so I guess you’d win your class pretty easy as it’s a very competitive car.
“If anybody wants to buy it, they are more than welcome to.
“We’ve done a couple of changes to the car, that’s why we are back here, to see if they are progressing. It’s a good event, it’s good to get around Bathurst whenever you can to be honest.”
