Robinson was on fire at the Bathurst Velodrome as she claimed a win in the women’s wheelrace plus victories in both the 200m and 500m events ahead of club mate Tyler Puzicha.
The 200m battle between Robinson and Puzicha was one of the day’s most thrilling battles, with the former’s time of 12.99 seconds good enough to take the gold by just a hundredth of a second.
Bathurst achieved a winning double in the wheelrace after Luke Tuckwell scored a victory in the men’s event.
Bathurst World Tour rider Mark Renshaw sponsored the wheelrace events and appeared via video link from South Africa to congratulate the winners.

“Kalinda was riding off the scratch mark in her race with Tyler Puzicha and Brooke Tuynman in very close proximity. The favourite for the event was probably Toireasa Gallagher who was riding off the 80m mark,” Robinson’s father and club junior co-ordinator, Michael, said.
“She was reined in and across the line it was Kalinda, Tyler and Toireasa together.
“Luke was riding off 150m in his race. He showed his endurance over the five lap event to ride away with it and take a gutsy win.”
Cadel Lovett added to Bathurst’s big day on the track with a win in the under 15s wheelrace.
Dubbo were too good for Bathurst in the senior team challenge but the hosts showed their stuff in a junior victory over Orange.
“The Town Cup is an annual event we run in Italian pusuit, where riders are lined up from slowest to fastest with each rider doing a lap before peeling off,” Robinson said.
“Dubbo’s win was a big effort because they had less riders and the majority of their team had to double up on laps.”
In the men’s A grade battle it was Dubbo pair Dylan Eather and Tim Hines who exchanged victories in the 200m and 500m.
Eather set what is believed to be a course record of 35.82 on his way to the 500m gold in a relatively comfortable win over Hines (36:50).
Hines was too strong over the shorter distance, 11.75 to 11.99 seconds.
B grade rider Drew Carter was another standout performer for Bathurst. He mirrored Robinson’s achievement by doubling up 200m and 500m victories.
Nigel Robinson and Marian Renshaw won the C and D grade 500m titles.
Mitchell Bland was the C grade 200m champion and the under 15s victor was Ben Anderson.
