The talented 26-year-old Bathurst all-rounder has signed with Sydney Thunder for a further two years ahead of the upcoming Rebel Women’s Big Bash league season.
Griffith joined the Thunder last year ahead of the 2017-18 season, playing six games for the side as she continued her return to cricket after taking a five-year break from the sport.
Thunder made it to the semi-finals, exiting the title race as they fell to the Perth Scorchers.
On top of making her NSW Breakers return earlier this month and impressing for the Penrith Cricket Club, Griffith also spent some time in New Zealand during the winter playing for the Otago Sparks in their Super Smash T20 league.
“I am stoked to be signed back on with Thunder for the next two years,” Griffith said.

“I’m really excited at our prospects this year and we’re looking to have a really good line-up with the Thunder, so it’s going to be a fantastic year.
“Perth was a bit bitter but that’s okay, we’ve learnt from that and hopefully we can have a positive start to this year.”
Sydney Thunder general manager Lee Germon is looking forward to seeing Griffith continue her comeback to cricket with the Thunder.
“Lisa’s story is an inspirational one of resilience and character,” Germon said.
“She displayed these traits last season and is continuing to develop her T20 cricket skills.
“She is a genuine all-round option for us and balances our squad very effectively. It is great that she has agreed to be part of the Thunder Nation for at least another two seasons.”
Griffith made the decision to take a break from cricket when she was 19 and spent four years working as a jillaroo at a cattle station in the Northern Territory.

“I was really stoked to just be playing games last year, if I can get on the park again I’ll be really stoked with that and then a bonus will be to play during the season, the more games I can play the happier I’ll be,” Griffith said.
The Sydney Thunder open their campaign against the Melbourne Renegades on December 2 at CitiPower Centre.
