Since then the rookies have continued to build on that potential – so much so that they are in reach of taking outright honours in the prestigious East Coast Sidecar Round Up.
An annual series which this year has expanded to four rounds – Brisbane, Albury, Tamworth and Newcastle – the East Coast Sidecar Round Up features some of Australia’s finest sidecar racers.
But the Frames have not been daunted by taking on more experienced and highly credentialed riders as they have represented Shadows Racing in the series.
They placed fifth in the opening round at Brisbane and backed that up with round wins at Newcastle and Albury.

It has them leading the series on 142 points and with closest rivals Andy Bridge and Robbie Weston on 126, the Frames are in good spot to claim overall honours.
“Our first win at Newcastle wasn’t real easy, there were some hard people to beat,” Lync Frame said.
“We will go into round four against the top 16 riders. They're going to be hard to beat, they have a lot of experience – years and years over us.”
Fellow Bathurst sidecar racer and Shadows Racing team-mate Sean Griffiths is one of those who has been impressed by the Frames. Most recently he watched them in action at Albury, where he placed fifth with first-time swinger Emma Wood on a new R1000 Yamaha.
“Going into the third round they were in front with the series – it would prove the clincher if they could come away with out right wins,” he said.
“Not only did they compete in the modern class on their 900cc, but also for the first time competed in the classic class on a 30-year-old 600cc to take out overall wins in both classes.

“Once again they dominated the modern class with wins all night and fought hard to take a very secure win in the final. This gives them a strong hold on the series … going into round four all they need to do is go around safely and no mistakes.
“The boys have really turned some heads.”
The final round of the series will be held at Tamworth on December 1.
