A COLD snap has blown into the Central West on Friday with gusty, cool winds predicted and the mercury to stay well below average.

Many locations in the region will shiver through temperatures that, in some cases, are up to eight degrees below the usual November weather.
Orange will be the coolest location in the region with a top of just 14 degrees, which is well below the city’s long-term average of 21.
A top of 17 is predicted for Bathurst and Oberon, while it will also be cool in Young (18) and Grenfell (19).
Lithgow will not be much warmer at 15 degrees, while the warmest locations today will be Dubbo and Wellington with 22 degrees predicted in both areas.
Meanwhile, a severe weather warning for damaging winds has been issued for Lithgow and the Blue Mountains on Friday.
A sheep graziers warning is also in place for farmers in the Central Tablelands due to the cold temperatures, possible showers and strong westerly winds.
A cool, windy Friday follows a week of wild weather with a dust storm making its way from western NSW towards the coast, while some parts of the country saw snow falls.
