The battle for national glory takes top billing on a program of top class, almost non-stop speedway at the ‘action attraction of the Central West’. It is the second meeting of the 2018-19 season hosted by the Portland District Motor Sports Club as the October meeting was unfortunately washed-out.
Current New South Wales champion Brock Youngberry from Lismore tops the line up, but he will have to be at his best to hold off the number two ranked driver in the state – Portland’s Jaiden Healey.
Healey gave his new Mitsubishi Lancer a shake down at Goulburn Speedway last Saturday evening only to find the concrete wall in the second heat, so he will be looking to make amends.

Other Lismore based drivers to make the trek to Cullen Bullen include Josh Boyd, Josh Weir and Connor Reeves.
Sam Mooney, Newcastle duo Luke Eveleigh and Noah Douglas plus the only female driver, Millie Fuller, will also try their luck. Jake Clark, Dean Giffin, Tyler Burnham, newcomer Jesse Darmanin, Dubbo’s Tyler Barnes, Max Essai and Orange’s Jackson Goldie round out the great line up.
The diversely different open wheeler program also features the close racing grand prix midgets, the modlites and the tiny go-kart based quarter midgets.
An extra treat is in store with seven vintage sprint cars to hit the track, which will take everyone on a nostalgic trip down memory lane with a fantastic demonstration.
The stock car stars will be contesting the second round of their Portland club championship over three heats and a feature race – the sensational street stockers, four cylinders plus the junior classes all racing for their yearly point score.
Driving stars from Bathurst, Blayney and Oberon will will battle it out wheel-to-wheel on the oval track against rivals from Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Mudgee, Orange, Canberra, Dubbo, Gilgandra and Nowra.
