Local musician Andy Nelson will be joining a stellar lineup of local, national and international musicians at this weekend’s Inland Sea of Sound festival at Wahluu- Mount Panorama.
This will be Mr Nelson’s second time performing at the Inland Sea of Sound festival, following an appearance at the 2015 event as part of the Local Emerging Artists Program.
“It’s good to be part of something that’s local and home-grown,” he said.
“It will be an honour to play alongside some great local musicians as well as the bigger names that are headlining.”
Mr Nelson will be bringing his distinctive brand of acoustic folk to the fold, a brand that has seen him become one of the most recognisable voices in the Bathurst music scene.
Releasing his self-titled debut EP in late 2017, Mr Nelson’s music takes a significant amount of inspiration from his family.
‘Little Sweet,’ the opening track on the EP, was written about his daughter, Maeve.
“It was the easiest song for me to write, and I wrote it before I was even planning on recording music,” Mr Nelson said.
The bearded balladeer is planning on recording some new material next year.
Mr Nelson will be performing at the Bedouin Stage from 12.30pm this Saturday.
