Useful contributions throughout the order helped Colts set a total of 153 against opponents Bathurst City at the Sportsground, with biggest scores coming from Dave Sellers (47), Jaden Ekert (38) and Henry Shoemark (22).
However, Redbacks were more than up to the task as opening Ben Orme (90 not out) proved impossible to shake during a big-hitting innings.
He and Aditya Adey (37) put on a century stand for the opening wicket to swing momentum heavily in Rebacks’ favour.
Matt Stephen was economical in his four overs, taking 0-12, while Wayne Sellers was best of the Colts bowlers during a tough day in the field, finishing with 1-9.
