The 38 kilogram black and white behemoth started as a $1.50 favourite for his debut run at Kennerson Park on Monday and towered over his rivals in more ways than one.
Recognize was given a great chance to start his career with a win when given the widest box for the Blayney Business Night Maiden (307 metres).
Within 50 metres he’d bounded out to a three length lead and it quickly became a question of how big his winning margin would be.
Miss Vanuatu ($3.80) and Durama Delight ($21.90) broke clear from a bunched field to give chase.
Recognize went slightly wide on the bend for home but didn’t wipe off any speed, completing his run in a time of 18 seconds flat.
Miss Vanuatu managed to eat back some of the margin but still fell two and a half lengths shy of Recognize.

Winning trainers Ricky and Caitlyn Brewer knew the Banjo Boy runner had potential after running 17.88 seconds in his solo trial a week earlier.
Caitlyn Brewer said, despite his size, Recognize can be deceptively quick from the boxes.
“He’s got great early speed. He always has. He’s just in and out of the boxes in one go.
“Honestly, it’s all just in the dog. He jumps better than probably half of our other dogs who are all smaller than him.
“He’s won his maiden on a TAB-B so we’ll keep him there and hopefully step him up in distance. The future looks bright for him.”
Monday’s meeting saw the Bathurst Soldier’s Saddle semi-finals take place.
It was a day of comebacks as Bogan Villa and Motor City Gem took out their events.
Bogan Villa had spent her race boxed in behind All Night Fever and Calypso Blitz but when a gap opened up she raced clear on the home straight. Hotplate claimed the last qualifying place.
Motor City Gem nearly got caught up in a first corner tangle but flew home across the back straight to take the victory.
Vansittart, My Bro Connor and Bruiser Grant claimed the final qualifying places.
