Police held concerns for the boy’s welfare, as he requires regular medication and did not have his personal belongings or medication with him.
Chifley Police District Inspector David Abercrombie said the boy was located safe and well on Tuesday morning.
However, they are still calling for assistance in locating a 14-year-old girl who was last seen by her parents two weeks ago.
Chifley Police District officers hold concerns for the welfare of Huia Hira who was believed to be staying with friends in the Kelso area.
Her parents are worried about her and need her to return home to Oberon.
She is around 145 centimetres tall, has a light brown complexion, brown eyes and a nose ring.
Anyone with information should contact officers at Bathurst police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
