The latest readings by Bathurst Regional Council, taken on Tuesday, showed the dam’s level was sitting at 58.3 per cent capacity – just 0.7 per cent higher than a week earlier.
The dam was holding around 17,500 megalitres of water, up just 280 megalitres.

Council’s report said release of water from Chifley Dam had averaged 17.7 megalitres a day over the previous week, with a peak of 39 megalitres per day.
The small rise came after the Bathurst region was drenched by 40mm of rain last Wednesday and Thursday, but by Tuesday there was very little inflow being recorded.
