Police have today received footage of the fight that appears to involve two teenage girls in the Domain Car Park on Stanley Street.
It's believed the footage was taken on Thursday afternoon.
The video had also been shared on Radio 2GB's website after a copy was sent to morning presenter Ray Hadley.
Chifley Police District crime manager Inspector Luke Rankin said officers were now reviewing the footage to determine if it was linked to today's high school lock down.
"We believe there's a connection but this has only just happened in the past hour," he said.
A spokesperson for the Department of Education confirmed this morning's lockdown.
"The school was placed into lockdown this morning for a short period of time after two students and their parents' behaviour escalated on site," the spokesperson said.
"No one was harmed. The incident was reported to police.
"The school has resumed normal operations."

Today's lockdown comes just a week after St Stanislaus' College was closed for the day last Friday after a threatening email was sent to all students last Thursday afternoon.
There is no suggesting that incident is related to this week's events.
