Coming up on Tuesday, December 18, the event will see the historic house decked out in decorations and the garden come alive with music and joy.
“It is one of our major fundraisers because we don’t get any funding for Miss Traill’s House and Garden,” publicity officer Susan Morris said.
“It is also an opportunity for people to celebrate Christmas traditionally with carols, dinner and activities for the children.”
Entry to the event costs $10 for adults, $8 for concessions and $6 for children, however families can attend for $25.
The barbecue dinner and drinks come at an additional cost, but people are invited to bring their own picnics and can enjoy the activities available for free.
Santa will also stop by Miss Traill’s House to give gifts to the children.
Ms Morris said the volunteers at Miss Traill’s House always receive great feedback from those who attend, many of them saying they come back year after year.
“It’s really just a good night out for the family and the community to really enjoy themselves,” Ms Morris said.
Gates will open at Miss Traill’s at 5.30pm on the night.
