Having notched up her first win at Mudgee in late October, The Long Run will make a slight step up in distance for the Class 1 Handicap (1,200 metres) at Warren.
It will be just the fourth start for the four-year-old bay Olympus x Kindilan mare.
While originally handed a 57 kilogram weight and being the best rated horse, some of that disadvantage will be waived as apprentice jockey, Peter Stanley’s daughter Ashleigh Stanley, takes the reigns for the race.
The Long Run is the only horse in the field with a win in its last three starts, and only two other contenders – Brett Thompson’s Future Road and Frank Hayes’ Court In Camera - have posted a victory in their last six starts.
Racing starts in Warren at 3.35pm with the jump for the Class 1 handicap scheduled for 4.55pm.
