To be hosted by the Western Region Academy of Sport, the camp will involve not only involve some of the Central West’s finest, but talents from the Hunter and Northern Inland areas too.
The athletes will participate in different activities across the two days, including skill development workshops, expert coaching sessions and match play.
Jye and Tasmin Bunt will be the two guest coaches and have great pedigree in the sport.
Jye Bunt is the selector and mentor of the 2019 under 18s NSW boys side plus a former ACT Strikers coach, while Bathurst native Tasmin Bunt is an Australian representative.
Jye Bunt is excited for this weekend and said the event is a great opportunity to see an abundance of talent.
“This is the first time I have been involved in this event and I am really looking forward to it,” Bunt said.
“This camp will bring all the athletes up to another level. There is a lot of talent out there and it is a good opportunity to see different athletes who can climb up the ranks.
“The talent in this area in particular is pretty high and we have athletes who are good enough to be able to get onto state sides.”
Nine Bathurst talents will take part in the camp: Bridget Ellis; Kirsten Fitzpatrick; Isobel Fitzpatrick; Shona Jarvis; Belinda Kidd; Matilda McDonald; Andre Rossitt; Trent Simpson and Benjamin Watson‐Tauaalo.
