Brand new in the shop as part of the Curiouser & Curiouser exhibition is a range of Alice in Wonderland-inspired gifts to funky disappearing cheshire cat mugs and exquisite silver clutches by Alice Pleasance.
We’re also very excited to be stocking some Plastic Cactus earrings featuring Alice and the White Rabbit.
You can pick up a kooky magnetic finger puppet of Andy Warhol or The Scream, a beautifully hand-screen printed tea towel or apron from Blue Mountains-based Laughing Bird, or even some sumptuous Savon de Marseilles olive oil soap from France. Also proving to be very popular in the lead up to Christmas are Wyck pillar and votive candles, available in a range of scents.
Gift ideas from local and regional artists include ceramics from Valerie Stuart, Marjo Carter and Pauline Wellfare; hand-blown glassware from Blackheath-based Keith Rowe and Kayo Yokayama; our exclusive Gallery Range earrings from Plastic Cactus; handmade pendants and brooches from Karin Smith; gorgeous individual Buzzbags, and the ever-popular embroidered cards, doorstops, tea towels and more from Lithgow-based Fullerton Design.
The BRAG shop has also stepped out of the gallery, and currently has a pop-up shop at the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum. It is well worth a look.
While you’re in the BRAG shop, wander into the current exhibition. Curiouser & Curiouser takes inspiration from the passages of Lewis Carroll’s book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and features works from 18 contemporary Australian artists from across Australia. It is on show until February10, 2019.
Entry to BRAG is free. For more information visit www.bathurstart.com.au or the BRAG Facebook page.
