A MAN has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm following a brawl at a Kelso hotel on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred just after 7.40pm, with the 31-year-old victim, taken to Bathurst Base Hospital with a fractured leg, after allegedly falling in the melee.
Inspector Gerard Powell, duty officer with Chifley Police District said a verbal argument allegedly began between a group of four people, before escalating into brawl.
The group separated for a short time, before the situation allegedly escalated again, with by standers separating the group while waiting for police and ambulance to arrive.
He said police will allege the 38-year-old man began throwing punches resulting in a physical altercation, with the 31-year-old victim falling to the ground, before the 38-year-old and a 47-year-old woman fell on him.
The 31-year-old man was transported to Bathurst Base Hospital for treatment to his leg, while the 47-year-old female was also transported by ambulance for observation.
The 38-year-old man was charged and will appear before Bathurst Local Court on January 7, 2019.
