A range of services will be available including a GP Helpline, Bathurst Medical Telephone Service and an After Hours GP Clinic.

Western NSW Primary Health Network chief executive officer Andrew Harvey said help was available for anyone who had a health concern and required the advice of a GP or who was unsure about what they should do with their health concern.

The Bathurst clinic operates from 3pm to 7pm on weekends and public holidays. Closed on Christmas Day.

The clinic is located in the Specialist Rooms of the Heritage Building at Bathurst Base Hospital.

The clinic offers bulk-billing and is a walk-in model so no appointments are necessary however you will require your Medicare card. The clinic is not intended to replace the routine care provided by your local GP or substitute medical care in an emergency situation. The clinic is designed to treat patients requiring urgent care or advice in the after hours period.

This operates in conjunction with the After Hours GP Clinic and this service connects clients to local GPs for advice in the after-hours periods, seven days-a-week.

The Bathurst Medical Telephone Service can be called on 6333 2888.

This service connects callers to a registered nurse who can assess their condition over the phone. Based on the symptoms at the time of the call the nurse may offer a call back from a GP to provide further medical advice.
