Every year the Liquor Accord holds its major fundraiser for the year, a charity golf day, which raises on average $15,000, which is distributed to various community charities.
Iris Dorsett, from the Liquor Accord said the group has been donating to the Community Christmas Lunch for years.
“We’re very happy to be supporting Barney [Rumble] we’ve been supporting the event for the past four years giving $1500 a year.
“It’s a great cause, and that’s what the community golf day is all about, giving back to the community.”
Accord president, Stumpy Taylor said giving to the community luncheon was an effective way to give something back to as many people as possible.
