Along with 11 races, there will be an assortment of entertaining activities such as a jumping castle, face painting, lolly bags and a giant soccer dart board.
Bathurst Greyhound Racing Club manager Jason Lyne is hoping the community event draws a lot of new faces to the track.
“We’re trying to draw a different crowd of people who may never have been to the dogs before,” Mr Lyne said.
“It’s a great way to spend the afternoon before heading up to the Adventure Playground for the fireworks.”
The event has received some welcome support from the NSW Government, who announced earlier this month that the Bathurst Greyhound Racing Club would receive $4530 to help put the family day together.
The funding came from the NSW Government’s Back to the Track program.
Mr Lyne has welcomed all the community support that they have received for the event so far.
“The community has been brilliant for us, and they have ensured that we continue to build,” he said.
The event is expected to commence with the first race at 3.21pm and conclude with the last race at 6.32pm, and everyone is welcome.
