Bathurst Aqua Park open from 11am to 5pm. Bathurst Aqua Park is suitable for a wide variety of ages from the very young to the young at heart. *Ages 4 to 6 may use the park but MUST be accompanied by their parent at all times who takes full responsibility for them. Under 4 years of age are not permitted on the park. *There is a splash zone with toys for small children to play outside of the Aqua Park perimeter.
Wednesday, January 2
Bathurst Harness Racing Club will conduct four meetings during the month of January – on January 2, 7, 18 and 23. The feature will be the Oberon Community Night on Friday, January 18. The meeting will be fundraising for Ronald McDonald House and there will be fun for all the family. Saturday, January 5
Come on a journey down the rabbit hole with Curiouser and Curiouser curator Julian Woods at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery from 11am. Julian will lead a guided tour of the exhibition, talking about each of the exhibiting artists, their practice and their works in the exhibition.
Monday, January 7
Grab a costume, invent a character and create a new show during an upcoming workshop (suitable for ages five to 12) at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre. Penelope (Nel) Kentish and Alex Vidler, experienced drama tutors with a passion for making theatre with young people, will be running the workshop on Monday and Tuesday, January 7 and 8 from 10am-4pm. Cost is $50 per student. A short performance will be held on Tuesday, January 8 at 3.30pm. Contact BMEC on 6333 6161 for information (but note that BMEC will be closed until 9am on January 2).

The Art of Ageing exhibition in digital format will be showing at the Bathurst Library during the NSW Seniors Festival from February 18-22. The exhibition is a NSW Government initiative which aims to challenge people’s views on ageing and the experiences of older people across the state.
