Bathurst Harness Racing Club will conduct four meetings during the month of January – on January 2, 7, 18 and 23. The feature will be the Oberon Community Night on Friday, January 18. The meeting will be fundraising for Ronald McDonald House and there will be fun for all the family. Saturday, January 5
Come on a journey down the rabbit hole with Curiouser and Curiouser curator Julian Woods at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery from 11am. Julian will lead a guided tour of the exhibition, talking about each of the exhibiting artists, their practice and their works.
Bathurst Arts Trail, which offers free entry to artists’ studios, will be held from 10am-4pm this Saturday and Sunday, January 5 and 6. Check www.bathurstartstrail.com or the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre for more details and to find out which studios are open. Monday, January 7
Grab a costume, invent a character and create a new show during an upcoming workshop (suitable for ages five to 12) at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre. Penelope (Nel) Kentish and Alex Vidler, experienced drama tutors with a passion for making theatre with young people, will be running the workshop on Monday and Tuesday, January 7 and 8 from 10am-4pm. Cost is $50 per student. A short performance will be held on Tuesday, January 8 at 3.30pm. Contact BMEC on 6333 6161.

The Art of Ageing exhibition in digital format will be showing at the Bathurst Library during the NSW Seniors Festival from February 18-22. The exhibition is a NSW Government initiative which aims to challenge people’s views on ageing and the experiences of older people across the state.
