Bathurst PCYC has an action-packed plan for these holidays. On Thursday is gymnastics and parkour in the morning and obstacle course in the afternoon. Friday is fun with ball games and boot camp. Morning sessions run from 8.30am to 12.30pm and afternoon sessions from 12.30pm to 4.30pm. Half day is $25 and full day is $35. To book, call 6331 2191.

Saturday, January 5
Come on a journey down the rabbit hole with Curiouser and Curiouser curator Julian Woods at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery from 11am. Julian will lead a guided tour of the exhibition, talking about each of the exhibiting artists, their practice and their works in the exhibition.
Bathurst Arts Trail, which offers free entry to artists’ studios on the first full weekend of each month, will be held from 10am-4pm this Saturday and Sunday, January 5 and 6. Check www.bathurstartstrail.com or the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre for more details and to find out which studios are open. Monday, January 7
Grab a costume, invent a character and create a new show during an upcoming workshop (suitable for ages five to 12) at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre. Penelope (Nel) Kentish and Alex Vidler, experienced drama tutors with a passion for making theatre with young people, will be running the workshop on Monday and Tuesday, January 7 and 8 from 10am-4pm. Cost is $50 per student. A short performance will be held on Tuesday, January 8 at 3.30pm. Contact BMEC on 6333 6161 for information (but note that BMEC will be closed until 9am on January 2).
Coming up
The BRAG school holiday workshops are on again from Tuesday, January 15 to Thursday, January 24. Six workshops led by artist educators have been developed and inspired by the current BRAG exhibition Curiouser and Curiouser. Advanced booking and payment are essential.
