THE Bathurst State Emergency Service (SES) unit had a busy night on Tuesday after an isolated rain storm caused damage in the Kelso area.
Media officer Zeak Smith said the SES received multiple calls from people in Kelso, with reports of trees down in the area.
The roof of a house, a shed and a fence were affected by fallen trees, while there was also a report of a tree being struck by lightning.
"We had about four calls in total and a we had a team of six out [Tuesday] night responding to the calls," Mr Smith said.
The team members had to use chainsaws and pole saws to cut branches, some on the ground and some up higher, to improve safety.
Mr Smith said crew members were able to head home at about 9pm.
According to Weatherzone, 12 millimetres of rain fell over Bathurst between 5.30pm on Tuesday and 6am Wednesday.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting possible storms for Bathurst on Thursday and Friday, dry weather on Saturday and the chance of wet weather on Sunday.
