The sale figures come between December 10 and January 7.
This year’s match between Panthers and Storm will be held on March 30.
Last year’s game attracted a crowd of 10,287, a record for a rugby league match in Bathurst.
And in more exciting news for rugby league fans, it’s expected that Cameron Smith, barring injuries, will play in the match after he signed a new contract with the Storm.
The Storm hooker is widely regarded as one of the best players to have played the game.
He formerly represented Australia and Queensland, before retiring.
Tickets for this year’s game are still on sale and can be purchased online at www.bathurstnrl.com.au.
