However, some have been treated to a lot more of it than others.
Weatherzone meteorologist Tom Hough said that there had been small doses of rain recorded at Bathurst Agricultural Station earlier in the week.
“In the 24 hours to 9am on Tuesday, there was 7.3 millimetres of rain and in the 24 hours to Wednesday at 9am there was three millimetres,” he said.
Another storm moved over Bathurst on Thursday afternoon, but it delivered mixed amounts across the area.

Mr Hough said that at Bathurst’s automatic weather station, located at the airport, there was 47mm of rain recorded by 9am on Friday.
A weather station in Stanley Street recorded 6mm, while there was just 3.4mm recorded in West Bathurst.
These figures were consistent with what Western Advocate readers were reporting on Facebook.
David Abernethy said he had received 39mm at Laffing Waters, while Greg Willis said Windradyne would be lucky to get 1mm.
Mr Hough explained that the storm was mainly to the north of Bathurst, starting at around 5pm..
“It looks like the heavier rainfall was just to the east of Bathurst at Napoleon Reef,” he said, noting that Raglan was also hit hard.
More rain was forecast for Bathurst on Friday afternoon, with Weatherzone predicting as much as 20mm to fall.
While the rain has been appreciated, Friday’s wet weather was the last Bathurst was expected to see for at least a week.
Mr Hough said that “low intensity heatwave” conditions would be experienced in Bathurst from Saturday, peaking in the latter half of next week.
He said the temperature would be in the high 30s and consistently above the long-term average temperature for January, which is 28 degrees.
Some days could be as much as 10 degrees hotter.
