A member of the South Australian Country outfit which finished the Shepparton-based tournament with two wins, three losses and a dramatic final day tie, Cady amassed 122 runs.
Though her top score was only 28, she did boast a strike rate of 92.4 and blasted 12 boundaries over the course of the tournament in Shepparton. She admitted looking for big scoring shots cost her at times.
“I’m hitting them good, I feel like they are coming out good, I just keep getting caught on the boundary,” she said on day four.
Cady made her debut at the tournament in the inaugural NSW Country Bush Breakers side in 2017. She hit 177 runs at a 95.2 strike rate to not only be named in the Australian Country XI honours team, but given the nod as player of the tournament.

Last year Cady returned with NSW in her role as wicket-keeper, opening bat. She scored 148 runs at a strike rate of 124.4 and was once again named in the Australian Country honours team.
This year she missed out on the higher honours, but given an eligibility miscommunication nearly saw her miss the tournament altogether, Cady still enjoyed her time.
She also stepped out from behind the stumps, opting to focus on improving her all-round fielding skills rather than just wicket-keeping.
She is hoping an improvement in that area, as well as continuing to work on her batting, could lead to a bigger things in her cricketing future.

Late last year she spent time working with Women’s Big Bash League outfit the Adelaide Strikers. She enjoyed a taste of that environment.
“I’ve really tried to broaden my skills and not just be keeping this year, I’m trying to be a bit more all-rounder,” she said.
“I was lucky enough for the Strikers to give me a bit of a run in a training session and a couple of trial games. They got me down there for a little bit which was really good.”
