The Bathurst cricket product and his Creek team-mates are hoping to not only take part in the semi-finals this Saturday, but advance to their fourth Twenty20 decider in as many seasons.
However, a net run rate complication means it is unclear if Creek’s latest win secured a spot in the top four or if rivals Ginninderra will advance. Cricket ACT officials are reviewing the matter.
If Creek does get the nod to advance, Dean will be crucial to its bid for glory.
Last Thursday he belted 57 runs off just 39 deliveries against North Canberra, his knock featuring five boundaries and a pair of sixes. It helped his side to a commanding 83-run win.
He is averaging 41.83 opening the batting in the T20 competition.
