LOCAL drivers will be looking to upset their visiting rivals this Saturday when the Newcastle Street Stocker Series joins the program at the Cullen Bullen Raceway.

It will be the third round of the series, with a great line up of cars trying to conquer the slippery granite based track.
Brendan Wakeman leads the close fought series on 279 points from Shane Carlson (270), Max Cotton (262) and Dave Fuller (259).
However, local drivers including Sarah Bradley, Andrew Blackley, Shanyn and brother Mitch Duggan, certainly have the skills to upset the apple cart.
The rest of the field Newcastle Street Stockers field consists of: Brendan Wakeman; Brett Cotton; Scott McCallum; Brad Ring; Daniel Forbes; Andrew Fuller; Mick Bone; Dennis Pana; Brendan Myers; Ben Cartwright; Tim Cartwright; Darren Bilby and Paul Pattison.

That action forms a small part of what will be top-class, almost non-stop speedway the ‘action attraction of the Central West’.
It is the third meeting of the 2018-19 season hosted by the Portland District Motor Sports Club, so motor sport fans are encouraged to get track side for almost five hours of speedway excitement.
There will be around 30 events for the tin top stock cars and those very fast open wheelers.
The open wheeler program features the close racing speedway karts and the tiny go-kart based quarter midgets.
The stock car stars will be contesting the second round of their Portland club championship over three heats and a feature race.
They include the sensational new limited sedan class which will feature John Spicer, Adrian Clark, Mat Hutchison, Peter Simmons and Shane Clark.
There will also be the all stars (14-16 years) and new stars (10-13 years) junior classes all racing for their yearly point score.
Driving stars from Bathurst, Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Mudgee, Orange, Canberra, Blayney, Oberon, Dubbo, Gilgandra and Newcastle will battle it out wheel-to-wheel on the oval track.
So come on out and cheer your favourite driver to the chequered flag.

Full canteen facilities are always available at very pleasing prices, so be ready for a full evening of inexpensive family entertainment this Saturday.
It commences at 4pm at the Burson Auto Parts Cullen Bullen Raceway, situated just off the Castlereagh Highway.
Spectators are also reminded that as a condition of entry, children must be supervised at all times.
