The three-year-old prevailed by a neck in the Redbank Lodge Standardbred Pace (2,100 metres) at Young as he snatched the lead in his final strides.
Trained at Georges Plains by Gemma Rue and driven by her husband Mat, the son of Art Major had a posted four second placings and three thirds from 16 starts prior to Tuesday night.
It saw him start as a $4.40 chance from barrier 10.
Mat Rue settled him one out and three back and it was with 400m to go that Chris Be Quick was urged forward.
He swept four wide around the final bend and worked hard down the straight to narrowly beat home Tulhurst Terror ($4.80), while Crazy In Love ($31) was only a neck further back in third.
It was the first half of a winning double for the Rues, who also found success with Ziggy Rocks ($2.30).
