Summer Fiesta will be held at Mayfield this Saturday and Sunday. Come to Mayfield every weekend in January for cool vibes, local musicians, woodfire pizzas and summer cocktails.
Bathurst Wholefood Co Op will hold its Mini Market this Saturday from 9am to noon to support and celebrate local producers. You'll find all sorts of goodies.
Sunday, January 20
Meet Darren the Diprotodon. Darren’s fossilised skull and vertebrae, which is on loan from the Australian Museum, was discovered by landowners in Tambar Springs in the North West Slopes of NSW. Darren is at the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum.
Monday, January 21

Coming Up
Australia Day celebrations are coming up. Australia Day awards ceremony will be held at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre on Friday, January 25 from 5.30pm for 6pm. Saturday, January 26 will feature a barbecue breakfast and community celebrations from 8am at Eglinton War Memorial Hall; citizenship ceremony at BMEC at 10am; and free entry from 11am at the Manning Aquatic Centre.
