Rugby had the Saints in trouble during the first week of play before a Pat’s middle order century stand got them to 6-203 at day’s end.

Pat’s are likely to head back out and seek quick runs, but as for how long they will do so Rugby captain Sam Macpherson isn’t 100 per cent certain.

“We're not exactly sure what their plan will be on Saturday, but I dare say we'll find out in the first few overs. And we will have a plan for that set in place,” he said.

“With the bat, it will be patience and building partnerships that can win us the game.”
