AS a former Bathurst resident, I find it amazing that there is virtually no promotion/signage of the Bathurst 12 Hour (or the 1000, for that matter) as you drive into Bathurst.

It appears the city takes it all for granted - and that's a big mistake.
The 12 Hour especially attracts many people who have never been to Mount Panorama before.
But as they drive into Bathurst, they wouldn't even know the race was on.
Council needs to get its act together on this. Tourism just doesn't happen.
