The event is a major fundraiser for the club, and each year manages to attract a devout crowd of people looking for a bargain.

Swap Meet co-ordinator Steve Crain said the event provides plenty of golden opportunities for buyers and sellers alike to re-purpose goods.
“We don’t charge for outdoor sites, and we get our income from the numbers of people that come through the gate,” Mr Crain said.
“It’s been fantastic to see so many members of the Bathurst community attending throughout the day.”
The proceeds from the event cover the club’s running costs, with the leftovers being donated to charity.
“It has become harder to turn a profit from the Swap Meet in recent years due to the rising cost in running the event,” Mr Crain said.
“Nevertheless, it’s still a fantastic social occasion that is well supported by the community.”
The Bathurst Historic Car Club has around 130 members, and is the premier club for enthusiasts of historic motor vehicles.
The club’s other marquee event is the Gold Country Rally, which is on in May.
