That’s the night Bathurst Youth Council has set aside for a “take two” on their first Food & Flix event at the Bathurst Adventure Playground.
The event had to be rescheduled after an afternoon storm washed out the original date last November.
The community outdoor cinema event will feature a screening of The Greatest Showman, starring Australia’s own Hugh Jackman.
The movie tells the story of American circus founder and famed hoaxer Phineas Taylor Barnum, with Jackman in the lead role in an all-singing and all-dancing performance that only he could master.
The film is perfect for the whole family but local young people looking for something to entertain themselves are the primary targets for the event.
A number of food vendors will also be in attendance for people wanting to buy their dinner, or you can take along your own food for a picnic on the grass.
All members of the community are invited to attend.
It’s all scheduled to start at 6.30pm with the movie screening from 8pm.
It’s a free event and a great opportunity to try something a little different. Weather permitting, of course.
A little bit more to the story
ONE woman couldn’t help but laugh at all the strange looks her partner received on a recent outing to a bottle shop.
Still recovering from serious back surgery her partner had been instructed not to lift anything heavy.
Adhering to doctor’s orders as he’d only just been released from hospital, the man accompanied his partner to run some errands.
After picking us a case of beer the woman, who is very small in stature, carried the item to the car as her tall and seemingly strong partner walked beside her.
While nobody said anything, the woman said it was fairly obvious the general public weren’t impressed that he was allowing his partner to do all the heavy lifting.
