Pre-sale tickets for the January 22, 2020 show sold out in just minutes last Friday, with tickets for the general public to go on sale at 9am this Friday, February 15.
But the obvious demand for tickets has prompted a rethink of seating at Carrington Park and the promoters have managed to squeeze in more GA seating at the venue.
Meanwhile, Chugg Entertainment has also announced nine new shows as part of Sir Elton’s farewell Australian tour.
Rock’s knight has added two new shows to his stay in Melbourne, along with additional shows in Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, the Hunter Valley, Mount Cotton, Hanging Rock and the Yarra Valley.
Final numbers have not yet been released but it’s expected around 15,000 people will attend the Bathurst show.
Tickets for the Bathurst show range from $139 to $339, though some tickets have already appeared on reselling website Viagogo for more than $2500.
VIP packages for the Bathurst range from $499 to the top-of-the-line Farewell Yellow Brick Road VIP Experience for $1499.
For that, cashed-up Sir Elton fans will be treated to champagne on arrival, an escorted backstage tour, a limited edition Elton John tour lithograph and the "essential" Elton John VIP gift bag.
