THIS week on 2MCE we’ve been playing lots of love songs in honour of Valentine’s Day on February 14.
2MCE loves the community we broadcast to and hope you have been feeling that love this week.
Second to the importance of Valentine’s Day was UNESCO’s World Radio Day on February 13.
This day celebrates radio, how it shapes our lives and brings people and communities together.
Community radio stations, such as 2MCE, promote the diverse identities of local communities and encourage inclusion for all members of the community.
We also provide opportunities for anyone to participate in public broadcasting.
If you are interested in volunteering at 2MCE in an off-air capacity, or to submit a proposal for an on-air program, call us on 6338 4790 or drop us a line at 2MCE@csu.edu.au

Join Nita on Tuesdays from 6pm. For Spanish speakers, Eduardo Paez presents the Latin American program in Spanish from 6pm on Sundays.
Join the folk
THE Bathurst Folk Club presents a fantastic selection of new releases and old favourites on Saturdays from midday on One of the Folk. Tune in to find out what’s happening in the folk music scene.
Will be missed
THIS week 2MCE says goodbye to one of our long-serving volunteers, Marcia Bonham.
Listeners would know Marcia from her Monday Morning Music program where she played easy tunes from across a number of decades.
Her first program, aired on July 9, 1986, was A New Aged Program, which she presented with the late Arnie Willot.
We cannot thank Marcia enough for her dedication and commitment to 2MCE for over 30 years and wish her all the very best.
THANK you to all our listeners and business sponsors. Your support of 2MCE and local community radio is what gets us out of bed every morning and on to your radio.
Tune in on 92.3 Bathurst and 94.7 Orange, or stream from 2mce.org.
