ORGANIERS of Bathurst’s third annual Cupid’s Undie Run on Sunday are hopeful their fundraising efforts will top $10,000 this year.

Around 60 runners took part in the cheeky fundraiser at Morse Park on Sunday morning to support the Children’s Tumour Foundation.
Organiser Amy Toole said the runners included six people with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), the primary condition being targeted for support.
Ms Toole said this year’s participants also included a number of first-timers and while there were some initial nerves, all enjoyed the event.
“For me personally there were a lot of nerves about stripping down to my bra and undies before taking a lap around Morse Park but it’s really a great cause,” she said.
“Everyone had a fantastic time. The ‘dress it up or dress it down’ message really worked.”
Ms Toole said the Bathurst event was going from strength-to-strength each year and she was keen to be involved again in 2020.
“It’s just going to get bigger and better each year,” she said.
Ms Toole ackowledged the support this year of the Panorama Hotel which had helped promote the Undie Run and had hosted an event at the end of the run.
The Undie Run is held each year on the weekend closest to Valentine’s Day.
