A VICTORIAN guesthouse in Bathurst has topped the list of the highest-selling residential properties in the Central West for 2018.

Domain has collated a list of the 14 most expensive residential sales for city centre properties in the region and it features a range of homes from the modern to the heritage style.
Topping the list was the Holmhurst Victorian Guest House at 306 William Street which sold in August last year for $2.85 million.
Data from All Homes shows it previously sold for $600,000 in 1997.
Second on the list went to another Bathurst home, 91 Boundary Road in Robin Hill, which sold for $1.8m in May last year.
The property last sold in 2002 for $213,000.
Properties in Orange rounded out the top five highest sales during the 12-month period.
In equal third spot was a home at 14 Kite Street and another at 136 Shiralee Road which both sold last year for $1.45m.
In fifth spot was a property at 26 Kite Street located near Cook Park which sold for $1.4075 in March.
The list of most expensive properties (from least expensive to most expensive) was:
- 13 Rowan Street, Orange, that sold for $1.1 million in June
- 7 Lawson Street, Mudgee, that sold in August for $1.185m
- 16 Johnson Street, Forbes, that sold in October for $1.2m
- 18 Cardinia Avenue, Robin Hill, that sits on 2.5 acres and sold in May for $1.2m
- 40 Clinton Street that sold in February for $1.2m
- 7 Avalon Place, Dubbo, that sold in February for $1.25m
- 175 Anson Street, Orange, that sold in January for $1.25m
- 15 Dairy Hill Place, Orange, that sold in December for $1.285m
- 42A Lakeside Circuit, Dubbo, that sold for $1.3m.
- 26 Kite Street, Orange, that sold for $1.4075m in March
- 136 Shiralee Road, Orange, that sold in May for $1.45m
- 14 Kite Street, Orange, that sold in June for $1.45m
- 91 Boundary Road, Robin Hill, that sold in May for $1.8m
- 306 William Street, Bathurst, that sold in August for $2.85m
The recently released Domain State of the Market Report, December Quarter 2018 showed how much property prices had grown in Bathurst.
Bathurst topped the list for the most expensive median house price in the Central West at $450,000, followed by Orange at $415,000, Dubbo at $365,000, Cowra at $285,000 and Young at $275,000.
Data showed that prices had jumped in Bathurst by 7.1 per cent in one year, from $420,000 to $450,000 and had increased by 31.5 per cent in five years.
