A big thanks to all of the volunteers who continue to turn up each Thursday to keep our grounds looking great. Anyone who can give a hand we meet at 7am. Pennant teams have been selected with a trial against Majellan this Friday at 5pm.
Details will be on the board during the week. Anyone who is available to play needs to let Phil Gray know. A list is on the board for anyone who can help with taking the ceiling down and lifting the floor in the main function area. Members are encouraged to assist if you are in a position to do so.
Zone News
Congratulations to Ross James who is off to Narromine this weekend after winning his section in the Senior singles Zone 4 championship. Ross defeated club mate John Archer in a high-quality contest, 31-28. Mick Sewell was unfortunately defeated in the Presidents singles sectional final. Good effort Mick.
Wednesday Bowls, Twenty bowlers contested five games of pairs.
Game 1
Ray Noonan and Bob Heffernan 21 defeated Bryan Bromfield and John Martin 15. A run of eight consecutive ends to Shorty proved the difference in the game. Ends to Shorty and Bob 12-9.
Game 2
Bob Lindsay and Jeff Larsen 27 defeated Denis Oxley and John McDonough 22. Despite only winning ten ends a couple of 6s proved to be too much for Denis and John to overcome. I wonder if we’ll see a game count appear on the board sometime in the future.
Game 3
Jim Grives and Hamish McKay 25 defeated Norm Hayes and Pat Duff 15. Winning ten of the first 12 ends proved too much for team Hayes to recover from. Final ends count 14-7 to team Grives.

Game 2
John Martin and Arch Ledger 20 scored an impressive win over Ian Cunningham and Hamish McKay 13. With the game in the balance 14 -11 John’s way they scored a four and a two in the run home to take the win. Ends 10-8 to team Martin. The mid-week Jackpot was not won and now stands at $30.
