Bathurst will aim for their ninth consecutive cup this Sunday against hosts Orange.

The defending champions have shown cracks in their armour this season but have been busy making repairs and applying polish where possible.

The air of invincibility has faded from the Bathurst outfit over 2018-19 after going down to Blue Mountains in the cup's season opener and then missing out on a finals berth in Western Zone Premier League.

That defeat to Blue Mountains would come back to cost Bathurst hosting rights for this weekend's decider at Wade Park.

However, Bathurst not only accounted for Orange comfortably in their most recent President's Cup meeting but the visitors will be close to full strength when it matters most.

Ben Mitchell, who hit 97 in the win over Orange, won't be available for the final but his replacement Matt Stephen brings an experienced pace bowler into the fray.

The rest of the Bathurst team remains unchanged from the one that picked up the seven wicket win earlier this month.

Jameel Qureshi has been involved with six of Bathurst's eight cup triumphs but knows another big performance is needed to add another title to the trophy cabinet.

"Orange will be feeling confident because our performances over the year have been pretty ordinary," he said.

"But our last result is maybe a reason why they shouldn't be so confident. I'm not worried about how they feel though. I'm a big believer that if we do our job and play our best cricket we will be hard to beat."

Bathurst returns to the scene of the crime at Wade Park this Sunday.

If it plays anything similar to what it did three weeks ago then Qureshi said it will be a day where the willow does the talking.

"We've got to make sure we do the job with the bat," he said.

"It was a batting paradise last time we played there and that was the Wade Park that we like."

The final gets underway from 10am Sunday.
