The forum will be at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre in place of the CPSA's monthly meeting on Thursday, March 7.
So far just three candidates have confirmed they will contest the seat of Bathurst - the Nationals' Paul Toole, Labor's Beau Riley and Brenden May from the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party - but CPSA chairman John Hollis said all three had confirmed their attendance at the forum.

"All candidates will be invited to talk for five minutes and there will be a general question and answer session at the end," Mr Hollis said.
"We're asking the public along to very much make it a community-oriented session, and there will be a morning tea for a gold coin donation at the end."
Mr Hollis said he would chair the forum and members of the public were asked to supply written questions for the candidates when they arrived.
He said the CPSA regularly ran candidate sessions in the lead-up to an election.
"It's a community service in that we feel it's important for pensioners and the public to be given the opportunity to ask questions of the candidates in a non-political environment," he said.
The state election forum will start at 9.30am for 10am.
The CPSA will host a second forum for federal election candidates in May.
