Over recent years, people in our city have gone to great effort and expense to conserve and give new life to a lot of our old buildings.
The last thing most of them would want would be for them now to be decorated with artwork.
A better plan may be to apply artwork or graffiti to some of the modern horrors that have been built in more recent years.
The fact that the old Bathurst Hall is a backdrop to this article suggests that this would be a great place to start.
My brother, the present owner, saved this building from demolition 30 years ago and I know that he is appalled at the thought of "artwork" being applied to this building.
I think we can celebrate Bathurst's diverse cultural environment without desecrating our heritage buildings.
