Malcolm will be one of only 20 year 10 students from across the state who will travel to Germany, France and Belgium during September and October as part of the Premier's Anzac Memorial Scholarship.
The students' focus on the trip will be learning about the causes of the two world wars and visiting the battlefields where the Anzacs fought in order to learn about and commemorate their service.
"This travel and learning opportunity is a real privilege and I am grateful to be selected and excited about travelling," Malcolm said.

St Stanislaus' College was one of 20 schools drawn in the 2019 Anzac Memorial Scholarship Ballot last year.
Eight year 10 history students at the school then submitted applications to represent Stannies on the trip.
Each of the eight applicants was required to submit a piece of work centred on one of the specified Anzac themes and attend a panel interview at the college.
The panel was chaired by head of college Dr Anne Wenham and included head of history Stella King, a representative from the P and F Association and a representative from Bathurst RSL.
A selected shortlist of applicants, which included the submitted piece of work as well as completed applications and panel reports, was then sent to the Office of Veterans' Affairs, where a panel selected the successful candidate.
Malcolm, who is from Wanaaring in far west NSW, is a third generation Stannies student.
Stannies also congratulated the other applicants, Hayden Maher, Jack Morrison, Jacob George, Joshua Borland, Liam Cooke, Nick Parnell and Peter Woodhead, for their submissions and responses at their panel interviews.
