BATHURST have thrust themselves into Central Western District Golf Association division one pennants favouritism after a thumping 5-0 win over Parkes at the Forbes Golf Club.
Ben Mackey's 8 and 6 win over Anthony Riach was the highlight for the Bathurst team in a win which sends them into the semi-finals with an unbeaten record.
Justin Sutton also recorded a relatively comfortable winning margin with a 4 and 3 success against Bradley Scott.
Zane Beale and Cameron Jackson both recorded 2-up wins on Sunday over Tim Burke and Joseph van Opynen respectively.
Reece Hodson rounded out the Bathurst clean sweep with a 3 and 2 victory over Robert Hey.
What made the win all the more impressive for Bathurst is that they had already booked a semi-final berth before the opening drive while Parkes had their finals hopes on the line.
Hodson, Sutton and Mackey all remain unbeaten through this season of pennants.
Bathurst finished with 12 individual wins and just three losses over their three pool matches.
The team are set to play Wellington in the semi-finals while the other game sees Mudgee facing Forbes.
Bathurst's division two team have scraped into the semi-finals by the smallest of margins after their 3-2 defeat against Parkes.
Ben Hamer and Darren Small's individual wins proved critical for Bathurst, who finished level with Forbes on the ladder but progressed courtesy of their head-to-head record.
